| WEB ANIMATIONS: TO THE LEFT: The example to the left has imagery, vectora & bitmap designed for a Homepage. Image sourcing can be a long, arduous journey. It's alway helpful if a client can provide the images along with the content before work begins as this saves resources. TO THE RIGHT : The examples to the righ tare from 2 separate websites both homepages. |

![]() WARM-UP INTROS: The Brief: Create 22 unique Flash animated intros with audio sounds & background music. The Aim: To stimulate and encourage learning english. Designed to be viewed across an Intranet, as an introduction to each unit. Duration: 15 to 30 seconds each Applications: Storyboard / illustrator / Photoshop / Flash / Sound Forge & Quicktime Worktime: Each intro would take 3 to 4 days to produce. Some aslittle as 2.5 days, others 5 days. Overview: Given an initial guideline to follow, covering each units storyline, activities and goals - I would then proceed to develop concepts with a start / middle / finish. From there I'd create a theme using rhythms and beats from a keyboard and place it as the backing track with the intention of producing animation / motion in sync. Audio sounds were collected, created, sampled and edited to suit. Sourcing images and creating animation were the most time consuming activites as was conceptual development towards the end of the project. Timing and synchronisation was a constant challenge with better solutions sought after. Producing complex animations to synchronise, across a wide variety of computers with different specs was always goiing to be difficult. Its an area which I'll endeavour to refine in the future. |

| RAILWAY STATION COMMERCIALS : The Brief: Create budget commercials for railway stations.Duration:30 seconds each Applications: Storyboard / illustrator / Photoshop / Flash / Sound Forge & Quicktime Worktime: Each commercial would would take approximately 8-12 hrs. Overview: Working with Cyrius Media Group supplying StreetVision with TVCs for inner city railway stations. We would develop a concept, I would storyboard being provided with the audio at a later stage. Working in either Flash or After FX, I would prepare artwork within photoshop and illustrator and then composite within AFX or Flash. With the LipEze commercial which was all vector art, I first drew up the animation with pencil and then vectorised the linework adding colour & motion in Flash. The other commercials we produced were pretty much created using photoshop & After FX. |
