Having majored in Interactive Screen & Corporate Identity, I have always enjoyed creating visual frameworks, interfaces and buttons. From early Portfolios, Flash Projects, through to themed web designs, graphical user interfaces were an enjoyable distraction from sometimes hum drum design tasks. Styling and the methods used to create interfaces, has changed a great deal over the last 20 years. 3D Beveling gave way to lighter image shadows and depth, before design gave way to more functionally designed, light weight 2D and transparent interfaces, these days being generated by CSS3 & HTML5 coding rather than heavy image pixels. It’s been a few years since I have worked in this area but I hop to again work on Interface Design in the future. Before that happens, I’ll probably re-establish my FrontEnd Web Design skills using the latest code standards.
